Lauren Alaina became an instant fan favorite of the American Idol competitors of Season Ten. Lauren Alaina is known as a unique person and for her commitment to God. Growing up in Rossville Georgia Lauren tapped into her singing talent as her cousin was diagnosed with a tumor in the brain. The diagnosis convinced Lauren to go after her dreams of singing. During her stay at American Idol she quickly became friends with contestant Scotty McCreery. The two were an ideal match for them because they both were Christians with similar roots.
